From Hospital to Hero

Eleven-year-old Pietro Pellerito from Michigan is one smart and brave kid. He learned that he had a brain tumor a week before a math competition called Math 24, but he was determined to participate. He was released from the hospital after his brain surgery just in time for the competition. Not only did he win, but he went on to a state competition, which he also won. Now, Pietro is being honored by the Michigan Air National Guard with the Young Heroes Medal of Honor. In a Math 24 tournament, students are given 4 integers and must add, subtract, multiply, or divide to get to an answer of 24. Write an equation with a solution of 24 using the integers 18, 7, 5, and 9.
