Scholastic News Sticky Situation • March 22, 2010
Khaleel is on a debate team. His friend Tania is on an opposing team. The two teams will soon face off. Tania sits next to Khaleel in class, and he realizes that he can see her debate notes. Khaleel knows that cheating is wrong, but the information in her notes could help his team win. What should Khaleel do?

He shoudn't cheat, Because if he cheats she will eventualy find out when she sees that they both had the same ideas.

Kahleel should tell Tania that he can see her paper so she knows that she was showing him. He shouldn't cheat either.

HE SHOULD NOT LOOK AT HER DEBATE NOTES BECAUSE THIS IS CHEATING AND HE DOESNT KNOW BUT HE ACTUALLY IS HOLDING HIM SELF BACK FROM LEARNING AND THINKING FOR HIS OWN.WHEN HE GOES TO ANOTHER GRADE HE IS NOT GOING TO ALWAYS HAVE SOMEONE TO LOOK AT THEIR WORKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is easy! Don't cheat! it may be tempting to Khaleel, but is he does and at the end his team wins, he would probably feel the guilt that he didn't really earn this. don't ruin it. Just win it truthfully, and listen to your conscience.

Don't cheat because it's wrong and that's his friend....he should at least try to come up with his own idea...and if he gets caught by the teacher he will get in trouble,and he will lose his friend!!!!!!!!!!!

I think he should not cheat and think of his own rules because the girl probably didint like thinking of all thoes ideas but she still did to help so thats what he should do i aslo think if he does cheat that the other teams going to find out and that might ruin there friendship. Another thing is that theres a saying that goes winners never cheat and cheaters never win.

Khaleel shouldn't cheat because he's being a big cheater. If his friend finds out they won't be friends anymore. So he should think about this and not cheat.

I really think that Khaleel should'nt look at the paper and acquire the information for his team 'cause that would be cheating. Instead, Khaleel should try to find out independent debate team information.

Khaleel shouldn't cheat. There's is no honor in cheating. They wan't Khaleel's ideas not Tania's idea. This would hurt their freindship. A team isn't worth losing your best freind over. What will happen when they find out Khaleel doesn't know what he's talking about? He could be caught cheating. That isn't the bad part either. If he goes on like this what is his future. Lying, cheating, and living on the street. Don't cheat.

I think he shouldn't look at someone else paper they might have the wrong answers and if you cheat you might get cought and when they get in trouble and they will start filling sad.

He should be original and make sure to do his best not the opponents best. Also when they debate they would have the same reasons so he should be honest.

he should come up with his own answer insted of stealing his friend answers. If he lose they would still be friends no matter what. So he sould just try his best to win the debate. He can get in so much trouble if he get seen by someone.
