Scholastic News Sticky Situation • January 4, 2010

Jordy and Arjun were playing a video game at Jordy's house. Arjun accidentally knocked over a glass of juice onto Jordy's computer. Jordy needs to get his computer repaired and thinks Arjun should pay for that. Arjun disagrees. He thinks it's Jordy's fault for keeping his drink too close to his computer. What should Arjun do?

I think he shoud pay to repair the computer. He shoudn't even be drinking near the computer. He probably should never get near it agin.

If a friend does do something to hurt your property even if by accident they should pay for the damage. If they are really good friends they'll have to understand that accidents happen and that you have to forgive instead of always blame.

I think that they should stop fighting and clean up the mess that they made. then when there done cleanning up they should be friends again. after they make up they should tell his mom it was a axedent and he didnt mean to spill the juice but one more thing they should try to see if the computer still works before telling what happened and if the computer has a problem tell the mom and say that you cleaned up the mess with my friend

I think Arjun and Jordy should both pay for the computer. After all, it was an acident and the drink shouldn't have been that close to the computer. First they have to tell Jordy's parents though. Then Arjun can say sorry and they both can help pay.
