Now that the Olympics are officially under way, some of you may notice new equipment. Not only is it stylish, it uses Nike's finest technology, such as FlyWire.
FlyWire is one of the lightest shoes I have ever worn. Nike Employees say it works just like a suspension bridge. It is all held up with tiny cables. It is practically like running barefoot. The reason there is some fabric over it is so dirt and rocks don't get in.
One other amazing technology by Nike is called the PreCool Vest. You fill it with water and then freeze it. Then strap it on before the big race. Right before you run, take it off and you are ready to go. What does this technology do? "The vest is designed to cool the body's core temperature," says a Nike spokesperson.
In April, Nike and the USA Olympic Athletes held a fashion show featuring apparel not being worn during the sports, but in the Olympic Village. You can dress like an athlete, too. All the casual wear is on sale online!
