Kid Reporter Abigayle Lista evacuated her New Orleans home as Hurricane Gustav approached. She also evacuated when Hurricane Katrina hit. She said it was a stressful experience having to evacuate. It has been three years since Hurricane Katrina destroyed New Orleans and other parts of the Gulf Coast. There has been progress in rebuilding New Orleans, but there's still a lot of work to do. Now, a new storm, Tropical Storm Gustav, might hit the area and cause more problems and hardships. Has the country done enough to help New Orleans since Katrina? Why or why not? How should the country help New Orleans if Gustav destroys more of the city?

More than 125,000 critically endangered western lowland gorillas have been discovered living in the forests of the Republic of the Congo. This is a significant discovery. It boosts the estimated number of the western lowland gorilla population from roughly 50,000 to between 175,00 and 225,000. But that doesn't mean the gorilla is out of danger. They still face the perils of hunting and disease. How do you think the gorilla population should be protected? What steps would you take to ensure gorillas and other endangered animals don't become extinct?
