The standard, or guidelines, for the Sussex spaniel says that the breed should have a cheerful and easy-to-manage personality. What personality traits do you think are most important in a dog? Why?
Well, dogs should have good training & skills if, you practice a lot then eventually they will be the top star.

I think the most important personality trait in a dog is being friendly. It wags it tail, gives you five, and let you know it likes you.

I am SO excited that a Sussex Spaniel won the 133rd Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show! In my family, we own 3 Sussex Spaniels and it's wonderful to see one win such an honor!! This is a terrific breed of dog. Our dogs, Buddy, Otto and Bogie are very proud of their sussex counterpart!! Congratulations Stumpy!!

It is important to train your dog. My dog is a german shepard named Bishop he is friendly and sweet. Those are the best traits. Go Stumpy!

I liked that dog i actually saw that dog on the tv. It deserverd to win. It was awsome. It was a great dog. It is a good type of dog

That dog was awesome. I saw a clip of him on TV and you could tell that Stump had the heart to win. If there were more people like Stump, the world would be a better place. It makes me want to get a dog. Way to go, Stump!

im not a very sensitive guy but that dog is cute.i would love to take stump home with me any time.if i were the judge of that dog show i probaly wouldnt know what to do.so many cute dogs.im pretty sure stump earned it though.

The most important thing is being a friendly person. Dog really like that. You will have to know your dog feelings. I have known a dog for years.

I honestly think that dog is cute. Except the eyes look red. I also think that putting a dog in a dog show is very cool, yet it might make the K-9's feel uncomfortable.

I saw him perform on TV and it looked like he wanted win.I was really impressed by stump he came back from retirement and won. He won and was over the normal age.He showed that any dog can do what he put his mind to.

That dog is just so cute its looks younger than it is my uncle has one just like its name is pepper shes a girl and her fur is black but i hope a small chiuahua wins next time!!!

Awww! I think that dog is so cute! But i want a Pomeranian to win next time. They are so cute and cuddley.I used to have one but it was bad so I had to
put it to sleep. THEY LOOK LIKE BIG POOFY SQUIRRELS!!

i think dogs are cute. but they are not always all that great. sometimes they don't listen, sometimes they run out of the house. take for example my friends dog he is out of control!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! just yesterday he ran out of the house my friend and i ran a whole 5 miles!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

that dog is so cuuuuute but i think the personality traits a dog should have is kindness and obedience cause if the dog is obidient it will be easy for the dog to be trained

This was a very touching article to me because this was a very strong dog that had a bacterial infection when he was just a puppy.If that was my dog I would have been crying already because if I was Stump I would rather die cause when I broke my arm I felt like dying,although I felt like royalty as well as I had to pay like ROYALTY!!!
P.S.If you go to the vet remember to get the cheap but good medications.

If you wanted to be a dag mama you realy should read this! It is very helpful. I wouuld realy want to have this dog! It would be soo cool! :-) It would be cool to be able to teach my puppy also..... But would not be as good as this!

I think the traits ALL dogs should have is to be friendly, sweet, and ,if the owner has or is a child, be good with children.Stumpy, from what I have learned has all of those traits.That is the traits you should look for in a dog.

I think that all dogs should be calm, caring, and loyal to their owner, because if they weren't then you couldn't control the way they acted, and that's not a good thing.

The best trait in dogs is the amount of love they give you. Dogs don't need to be smart, or have certain traits the breed is supposed the have. If you love your dog it'll love you back and that's all I need from a dog.

I think that having a dog that has an easy to manage personality is great! I also think that dogs need to be friendly, loving, and need to be disciplined in a way that they are never hostile to their owners, or anyone else. Your personality also effects how your dog acts, and if your a loving owner and you take care of your dog, it will show through them. Those are the traits I think that dogs need to get a happy, and fulfilling life.

I think that having a dog with an easy to manage personality it great! I also think dogs need to be loving, friendly, and need to be disciplined in a way so they are never hostile to their owners, or anyone else. Your personality affects the way your dog acts too. So, if your a loving owner, and take care of your dog it will show through them. These are the traits I think dogs should have to have a happy, and fulfilling life.

I think they should be playful and kind. Dogs with sweet personalities are dogs that I personally think are best. I also think that they should be kinds of dogs that go with the flow. What I mean is the dog should not care about what they have to do or were there going. A dog with a great personality also needs to be protective to there owner. All in all many dogs have these traits and are always loved.

The personality traits that I think are most important in a dog are love and loyalness. If they love you it is easier to l;ove them back. If they are loyal to you and they love you then they are more likely to protect you.
