Of course he should resign! He broke the law. He better to go to jail! Also he told the public that they could tap his phones and he was not afraid, at a press confrence. One more thing is that noware in that article did it atat that he was a democrat, which he is.

I think for the time being he should at least step aside. He's been accused with some serious crimes. If he is found not guilty, then he should be allowed back- unless he is impeached, a great possibility. But considering that the Governer most likely is guilty of all he's been charged with, he should definitely resign.

He should go to jail for trying to sell someones seat.
Posted by: chris | December 12, 2008 at 10:05 AM
i think he should go to jail unless he is proven not guilty and if he is he should resign and do time for his crimes i think this is serious stuff. and he should feel real dum about what he did
Posted by: Marissa | December 12, 2008 at 10:05 AM
I think he should resign because Rod Blagojevich was trying to sell Barack Obama's seat in the Senate came under growing pressure to resign today as the president-elect called on him to step aside.I think it would be best for illnoise.

I think what he did was wrong and he should go to jell and if i was obama i would press charges.
Posted by: Dai'Juan | December 12, 2008 at 10:09 AM
yes he should resign because he stole and didnt follow the law.
Posted by: carly | December 12, 2008 at 10:10 AM
I think he should resign because if he don't the people of Illinois will turn against him.
Posted by: chris | December 12, 2008 at 10:15 AM
We think that Gov. Blagojevich should resign because he has done many illegal things in our state. He should do this so that we won't have to impeach him, which will cost lots of money. He has been abusing his power as governor. If Gov. Blagojevich resigns, we think that Lt. Gov. Patrick Quinn will do a better job for Illinois.

I think that yes Blagojevich should be kicked out of office because of his illegal activites and because of our country is based on voting and honesty not on selling someones senate seat.
Posted by: Dru | December 12, 2008 at 10:49 AM
I think the dude needs to resign because its against the law to sell a seat.
its soppose to go to you deserves it the most and would do a good job. not to whoever benifits him.
Posted by: Brittani | December 12, 2008 at 10:49 AM
My opinion is yes I agree that he should resign because he is doing something illegal. He is trying to sell Obama's seat to someone else. Our country is based on voting. He is looking at his own needs. I think he should just quit before he goes to federal prison for decades.
Posted by: johnathan | December 12, 2008 at 10:51 AM
He should resign immediately. Politicians should be role models not criminals. The evidence sounds bad for the Governor and he should resign ASAP.
Posted by: Cambria | December 12, 2008 at 12:01 PM
I think he should resign. He may end up without a choice if the courts say he has to resign.
Posted by: Matthew | December 12, 2008 at 01:22 PM
I think he should resign. I might think differently if he didn't break the law. He should definitaly resign if he is proved guilty.
Posted by: Sarah | December 13, 2008 at 08:32 AM
He should resign because he was once a respected politician and now a criminal for trying to sell Barack Obama's seat. He also should not have a choice if he wants to resign. Resigning should be his only option.

why did Rod take whoever had the most money to give to him and why diddent he just think about the people in our state? He should had thout of what might happinto him.
Posted by: jillian | December 15, 2008 at 12:29 PM
i think he should resign becuse he could be chared a lot of money and go to jail for a long time.
Posted by: mara | December 15, 2008 at 12:32 PM
why is the govener asken for money is it because he lost his head because he likes money so much . I think its becuase he is pour.
Posted by: colin | December 15, 2008 at 12:34 PM
yes he should resign becase he is doing something illegal.are country is based on voting.I think he should stop
Posted by: Timay@ | December 15, 2008 at 05:20 PM
I too like many others beleive that Governor Blagojevich should resign. If he stays,he would still retain the authority to choose the senate under the Illinois Constitution. And we might doubt his decision

I think If can't fulfill the funcions of a statesman should be resign the politician.
so he should resign.

Should Governor Rod Blagojevich resign?YES
What do you think would be best
for Illinois and for the country?becase he is doing something illegal.think what he did was wrong and he should go to jell and if i was obama i would press charges.
Posted by: GJHU | December 16, 2008 at 07:39 PM
Gov. Blagojevich has disgraced Obama and to avoid embarrassing himself, he should resign.
Barack Obama gave the govener the honor of choosing a new senator, but he abused his power. He should choose someone who is a good replacement for Obama not someone who can give him money for it. I only hope he feels ashamed of himself. He is asking an unreasonable price as well!

I think that he should resign for three reasons.First,he should resign because he's breaking the law.If he is breaking the law then he will go to jail for centries.Second,he should resign because he will lose his power if he dosen't.If he loses his power then he can't do what he wants to do.
Posted by: jacob | December 17, 2008 at 04:10 PM
RESIGN RESIGN RESIGN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!VERY VERY VERY WRONG Blagojevich should be in jail and Illinois should have an special election.
Posted by: PAULA | December 17, 2008 at 04:10 PM
I think that the governer should be removed from office. He is planning to do something that could endanger Illinois. If an inexperienced person is put in office, then Illinois would end up horribly! The governer is also just using it for his and his family's benifit. He probably already has lots of money.
Posted by: von | December 17, 2008 at 04:10 PM
I think that the Govener should resign so that tthe charges for prison would be less and so he would have less chance of going to federal prison. I think that impeaching Blagojevich would be best for Illinois. Getting elected junior senator would be better than buying the job.
Posted by: Todd | December 17, 2008 at 04:10 PM
I think it was unfair .Blagojevich was not being a fair govner. Someone should take hisn place .
Posted by: morgan | December 17, 2008 at 04:10 PM
I think that Blagojevich should resign. He should not not sell some one's job. I think that he should be arrested unless he is proven innocent. He did something really bad and illegal.
Posted by: Edward | December 17, 2008 at 04:10 PM
YES!!!!!
Why?Because he broke the law and tried to sell Obama's seat
Posted by: James | December 17, 2008 at 04:10 PM
nohe should not be in office!he broke the law.plus he only was talking about puting his family in there and not to much about politics.plus he should be in jail for breaking the law.
Posted by: sean | December 17, 2008 at 04:10 PM
i think its so unfare
he sould be punnish
Posted by: dajah | December 17, 2008 at 04:10 PM
Blagojevich should resign immeaditly and go incogneto ( go in hiding ) . If he does not go in hiding he will go to jail. If Obama presses charges he will go to jail. Also insted of selling the job he can immiditely give it to someone who wants it and can do it. If he does this soiution he would not have to go to jail.
Posted by: Ethan | December 17, 2008 at 04:10 PM
I think Govener Rob Blagovich should resign for a couple reasons. To begin, he has allegedly tried to sell a polital seat. I do not think that is right because a political seat is not something you can sell and buy over the internet, it is something you have to work and earn. It is not like you can just walk in somewhere and say i work here without any of the managers or workers even know you are going to work there.
Posted by: Huy | December 17, 2008 at 04:11 PM
This is redicules. trying to sell a chair in gverment, thats just plain stupid. the american goverment is a respentable goverment and trying to sell a spot is mean, stupid, and unfair.
Posted by: sophie | December 17, 2008 at 04:11 PM
Should Governor Rod Blagojevich resign? Should he be arrested for bribery? YES! He should resign and be put to jail for doing something like that. He should be more honorable to the United States. He should do his job correctly and fairly. Since he isn't doing that, then he should resign. Also, when he goes to court and if he is found guilty. He should be sent straight for jail. He does the crime, he would have to pay the time.
Posted by: Khathy | December 17, 2008 at 04:11 PM
If you were elected president, would you want someone to auction off your old seat in the Senate? I wouldn't. I would want to find my own person that I think would do an equal job as I did. I would want someone that would put as much effort into the job as I did. Not the highest bidder. I think Governor Ron Blagojevich should not be the governor of Illinois for 3 reasons.
First, it would put me in an awkward position as the President of the United States of America. If I were Barack Obama, I would feel weird and taken advantage of. If I were a brand new president, and someone auctioned off my seat in the Senate and if it were a GOVERNOR, I would feel pretty weird.
Thank you for listening. :)

Of course he should resign. The courts should decide if he goes to jail. He disgraced his State. And what he did goes against everything our government stands for -- a government for the people and by the people.
Posted by: Brendan | December 19, 2008 at 10:40 AM
I think he should get another job so people can stop complaining about him!
