Barack Obama did much better than John McCain. Obama was able to articulate that he would be able to be the commander in chief when he was able to show leadership in foreign policy issues during the debate. Regardless of who you support, when John McCain criticized Obama's poor judgment, it seemed as if he was mocking Obama and not necessarily making differences between the two.

I think Obama won. He wants more for us here at home. McCain wants to focus more on foreign stuff. We need help here right now at home!

Barak Obama for prez.

First of all, I think ya'll are doing a great job covering the election. Second of all, I learned that there is still much to learn about our candidates before making a decision. We must all have an open mind and listen with our hearts.

I think experience matters and John McCain is the candidate with the most meaningful experience. McCain for President.
Posted by: Riley | September 29, 2008 at 11:43 AM
I think that John McCain did a much better job considering that it was mostly about war and leadership. Also John McCain knows more about leadership because, John McCain was in the war and he was a prisoner. Thats why I thin McCain did a much better job that senator Obama.

Senetor John McCain looks either nervous, scared, or frightend in this picture some say like he's ready to beat up Obama.

Both candidates had good ideas.
Posted by: Joe | September 30, 2008 at 04:38 PM
I think Obama cares about poor people. McCain cares about everyone's taxes, not just poor.
Posted by: hannah | September 30, 2008 at 04:48 PM
I think John McCain has a good part in the debate so I think Obama has almost no chance in this election but could make a come back I mean you guys want Obama
to let Iraq tear itself apart and if he takes away guns he''ll have to rewrite the constution
Posted by: austin | September 30, 2008 at 05:00 PM
I think Obama should be elected for president because
he wants to stop the war and he has had a lot more experience then senator Mcain.
Posted by: Ciara | September 30, 2008 at 05:00 PM
I think senators Barack Obama nad John McMain did a good job in the debate. But I think McCain did a better job because he cares about all the people not just the poor people.
Posted by: lucas | September 30, 2008 at 05:01 PM
I think McCain has awesome leadership when it comes to the whole war situation because he has experience with war and he was a senator for eight years.
Posted by: Jenna | September 30, 2008 at 05:02 PM
I think McCain should be our future president because
he knows whats right for taxes to win the war in Iraq.
Posted by: keith | September 30, 2008 at 05:09 PM
I think McCain is awsome!!!1
Posted by: Danielle | September 30, 2008 at 05:10 PM

Dad are voting for him and I really don't care for
ether of them because am just a kid.

John McCain

McCain for president, the proof of what Obama has done is on Google, He is the one that has put us in this financial crisis and we need to vote for McCain if we want to save our country.
VOTE FOR McCAIN....NOT OBAMA.....SAVE OUR COUNTRY!!

I think Barack Obama cares about helping the middle class so they have a chance of getting ahead. He's not about helping the rich get richer.
Posted by: domenic | October 04, 2008 at 03:39 PM
Lots of people have different ideas. I think Barack Obama should be president because he would give more money to people in need, would stop the Iraq war, start a war in Afganastan,(where I think the terrorists really are,) and not lie.
Posted by: Lizzy | October 06, 2008 at 10:08 AM
I feel that Obama and McCain are equally matched when it come to environmental and economical situations but, when it come to running for President and being a leader, Obama is likely to win. He was able to deliver positive answers to all John's comments. He also used evidence from our past. Example: McCain stated, "there will never be another 9/11". Obama is realistic, he's thinking for now and our future. He stated, "we are still at war with other countries and until we end it we can't really determine if America is safe". We need to first get our soldiers back home and Obama is ready to take on that responsibility along with others to come.
GO OBAMA!!!

Posted by: Alex | October 07, 2008 at 01:05 PM
i like the debate, they each make a good point
Posted by: josh | October 07, 2008 at 01:08 PM
I beleive it all comes down to experience and John McCais got plenty of it
Posted by: tyler | October 07, 2008 at 01:08 PM
I believe McCain should be president because he more experienced but although he should call off the war in Iraq and move them to Afganastan
Posted by: tyler | October 07, 2008 at 01:11 PM
I think Obama did a great job at the debate. He was more serious about the problems than Mc Cain. Obama should be our future president because he knows what he is talking about. When he is president the world would chyane and much better. I know he will win. Go Obama!!!
Posted by: Carla | October 07, 2008 at 06:32 PM
McCain For president.I think hes winning in the debate right now at 9:05 PM
Posted by: Andrew | October 07, 2008 at 10:06 PM
I can't believe that McCain decided to go only ten hours before the debate.
Posted by: Kylie | October 08, 2008 at 11:25 AM
i think Barack Obamashould be the president.i think that be cause he has a better experince than john macain it sounds like.he knows what he is talking about and how the place sould be run. obama for prez.
Posted by: katrina | October 08, 2008 at 06:40 PM
obama did a be a better job than maccain did.obama knows what he is talking about.obama knows how to run any place.obama can make a good diffrence to the world.
Posted by: katrina | October 08, 2008 at 06:45 PM
i think obama is a better choice because i agreee with his plans and think he is very qualified for the job
Posted by: angelica | October 09, 2008 at 10:49 PM
i believe obama was better he is trying to help our world in finicial aid and he is trying to stop wars but he is also sitting here focusing on the kids and the world. but if mcain so happens to win then okay i believe he will try his best to make the world better but if i could elect obama would win.
Posted by: emma | October 15, 2008 at 08:47 AM
McCain has more experience than Obama. McCain will get us out of the economy crisis because he would not show up for the debate unless something was done about it. VOTE JOHN McCAIN FOR PRESIDENT!!!!
Posted by: Stephanie | October 15, 2008 at 03:20 PM
i think that the competition will be very close because McCain one on side has good point on the subject of terrorism. Obama on the other hand has good thoughts on the economy.
Posted by: marisol | October 15, 2008 at 11:04 PM
So Obama cares about poor people?
Anyone who think so should have a look at Obama's level of giving to charitable causes. He's earning good money, still, he finds it hard to part with 10 % of the money by giving to the 'poor'.
(The Obamas gave a measly 1% of their income to charity during 2000-2004.)
Obama doesn't primarily care about the poor, he cares much more about the poor people's votes.
Posted by: Arne | October 16, 2008 at 08:41 AM
i'm not sure who won. i didn't even watch the debt. all i did was read some of the coments. i had to do this for school. i didn,t choose to do this.
Posted by: vg100 | October 19, 2008 at 12:58 PM
I think Mcain did better than Barack Obama because he answered the question and gave lots of facts.Obama didn't answer the question about how hes going to do it.Mcain said he would make schools try their best to make kids learn and I agree.
Posted by: Samantha | October 21, 2008 at 10:42 AM
Well I learned that Barack Obama is going to take our taxes and give it to the poor people and I think thats wrong.Because we americans work so hard in what we do trying to work.Go Jhon Mcain
Posted by: Samantha | October 21, 2008 at 10:45 AM
i think Obama should be president because he wants to stop the war and wants to give everyone under the age of 18 health insurance. many people now dont have health insurance. Over 9 million kids dont have health insurance. Mcain wants to keep our soliders at war and has said nothing about lowering taxes.
