Happy Thanksgiving! (Now Start Shopping!)

This Thursday in the United States, we celebrate Thanksgiving. But is considered the official start of the holiday shopping season. (Though many stores and websites have been offering holiday sales for weeks now.) The National Retail Association expects Americans to spend a total of $447.1 billion on holiday gifts this year. If all that money was spent from November 26 to December 24, on average how much would be spent per day? (Round to the nearest dollar.)

About $15,417,241,379 ($15.4 billion) would be spent per day!
